The Cuman Royal House

of Romania, Moldova and Gagauz Eri

His Royal Highness, the 51-th Ilhan, was born on 15-28 August 1923 in Komrat and was christened in the Orthodox Church of Ceadîr-Lunga where the Hanal family was living, the Ilhan having been appointed in the function of Medium School Director. This school was built with the money He collected from His friends of the Moldavian, Gagauz and Jewish communities. His grandparents were Tudor of Panciu Karaghiaur, the 49-th Ilhan and Head of the Cuman-Gagauz Romanian Hanal Royal Household of Panciu and Maria Stoian Dobre, baroness of Devlet Agaci of The Cuman Gagauz Hanal Royal House of Panciu. His education started at home by private teachers under the personal supervision of the 50-th Ilhan Ştefan.

At the age of five He was admitted in the first class of the Primary School of Cărpineni.

In 1928 His father has finished the construction of a new Medium School of Cărpineni  and  was promoted to the function of  Director of the Medium School of Căuşani Municipality.

In 1929 Eni Han started His second degree at the Primary 3-rd School of Căuşani.

In 1931 Ştefan Ilhan terminated to build a new Medium School in Căuşani City and was promoted, received a status of an EMERITUS Professor, and moved to the town of Calafat, in Oltenia.

Eni Han started the 4-th degree and, in l932, He entered the first class of The Independenţa Lyceum.

In 1936 He passed the capacity exams in Craiova and moved with the Royal Hanal Family to the town of Huşi, in the Province of Moldova. He was always the first or second in the classes He was attending.

In 1938, after finishing the sixth degree. He decided to move to the City of Chişinău, the Capital of the Province of Basarabia. His native Province. The Han bought a new condominium for His family and Eni Han continued His education at the Alecu Russo Liceum of Chişinău, scientific section. Ilhan Ştefan remained in Huşi, till l940, when He returned to Chişinău to live  with His family.

After the Soviet invasion Eni started the 10-th degree of the local Russian speaking Secondary School and at the end of the year He terminated with brio.  For His exceptional work He received from Stalin a special DIPLOMA giving Him the opportunity to continue His education at any University or Faculty of His choice in U.S.S.R. The Diploma was permitting Him to obtain a monthly bourse of 400 roubles, the equivalent of 400 US dollars, which, at that time, was an exception.

In June 1940 the Hanal Family received very bed news from the Princes of The Cuman Hanal House living in the Region of Cahul : one was killed, two were deported and one arrested. Two brothers of Ştefan Han escaped by miracle and were living in clandestineness. In the same time Ştefan Han received an order to move in Russia in His capacity of Professor and  member of the Civil Service. The Family decided to respect this order and moved, in terrible conditions, near the city of Morozovsk. Eni Han found for His father a place to teach on, in a Secondary School, in the village of Novopavlovka, described by Czechov as a great Kosac village. Eni Han took the opportunity to exploit the possibilities of Stalin’s accorded Diploma in order to remain near His family and avoid the conscription in the Soviet Army. When the Romanian 20-th division arrived and the Soviet troops retreated to Stalingrad, The Hanal Family returned to Chişinău. Eni Han finished the Alecu Russo Liceum, and passed with honoursx the Baccalaureate examinations.

In 1943 He moved to the city of Timişoara, in the Province of Banat, where He finished the 4-th class of the Polytechnic School  Faculty of Mines @ Metallurgy. But the Soviet troops invaded Romania in august 1945. This time Eni Han entered the political Party of Maniu and Mihalache, The National Peasant Party. He guided the University Youth in Banat Region and conducted a ferocious combat for Liberty and Democracy.

Condemned to Prison in 1948 by The Military Tribunal of Timişoara and to death penalty by the N.K.V.D. Eni Han was forced to pass across the Danube River and take refuge in Tito’s Yugoslavia. He served one month in the prisons of Pancevo, Cladova and Belgrad and was liberated with a controlled residence status in the small town of Shabatz. He worked in a mechanical repairing shop and was appreciated by the young local head of the Communist Party’s secretariat.              On 24 of October 1948, Eni Han fled from Yugoslavia with a group of four people and arrived safely in the Austrian English controlled zone. One month later, with the moral help of the influential member and ex-minister, Emil Ghilezan, Eni Han was released. He crossed illegally the Italian frontier, was arrested and sent to the Concentration Camp of Lipari, the place where Mussolini was keeping his political enemies. He organized a general strike and convinced the Italian authorities to dismantle this Concentration Camp.

In January 1949 He was transferred to Cinecitta, near Rome, where He attended the Rome University Evening Courses and obtained a Recognition Diploma as an expert in energy economy.              On 19 July 1949 He arrived illegally in Paris. He received a bourse for attending the Engineering Faculty of Applied Geology and Mining Prospecting at the University of Nancy.

After a year of great strain and hard life He finally obtained an Engineering Diploma. He moved to Paris where He worked as a New Plant installer. He refused an offer to work as an engineer in Algeria, because He anticipated the later political disturbances.

The Canadian Immigration Authorities granted Him a Landed Immigrant Status and Eni Han arrived from Hamburg to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He refused an offer to become a lecturer of Applied Geology at the Polytechnic School of Montreal. He preferred to start the profession on his own and entered the field of Mining Prospecting and Exploration as a Consulting geologist and prospector, till 1956 when He received the right to work as a Consulting Engineer after being officially recognized By The Order Of The Professional Engineers of Quebec. His engineering and   Fuel Oil Business proved to be a success. He travelled extensively and was invited in 1972 by the former President of Brazil, Koubiczek, in Rio de Janeiro.

On 28 October 1951, in Montreal, He married HRH Baroness Aurora Caba, daughter of a well- known Romanian family from Montreal. Ştefan Caba was elevated at the rank of Baron-Lord by Ştefan Han in 1938, by the recommendation of the General Consul of Romania, Dr.D.Nicolau. Ştefan Caba was the Founder of the first Romanian Orthodox Church in Montreal in 1908.He was also the first President of the new parish. Many Romanians from Bucovina fled the Austrian occupation and were the sons and daughters of the ancient Cuman population and considered themselves as the best Romanians…

After their honeymoon, the Prince and Princess went to live in their newly acquired residence in Montreal. Their first son, HRH Prince Ştefan, was born on 11 July 1952, followed four years later by HRH  Prince George-Iuran and in 1959 by HRH Princess Josefina Maria Alexandra. Prince Ştefan is also holding the titles of  Count of Cărpineni and Lord of Larga Nouă.

After Eugen Eni Han’s designation as successor to the Head of The Household of The Cuman Hanal Royal  House of Panciu, in 1978, before the death of Ştefan Ilhan, He continued His political activities in order to help the internal forces in Romania to overthrow the Soviet imposed Regime. Eni Han travelled in many countries and was well known by The President Saddat of Egypt, encountered Saddam Hussein in 1971, had a correspondence with Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Her Majesty The Queen Elisabeth II of Great Britain, The Mother Queen and many political personalities including all the Premiers of The Canadian Federal Government, the Premiers of Quebec and other Provinces and The Governors-general of Canada.

In 1989 He worked hard as an Organiser of the Frontul de Eliberare Naţională. Ex King Mihai never accepted to take part in this anticommunist activity and refused to cooperate till the last moment when the Ceauşescu’s Regime collapsed due to the internal pressure of political forces in Romania. Eni Han’s only liaison with the Communist Establishment elements in Bucharest was the former Ambassador to Washington Corneliu Bogdan. When Eni Han arrived in Romania Bogdan was already dead. More than that, Cornel Coposu, Eni Han’s friend since 1946, and Emil Ghilezan, which was an U.S.A. citizen, refused Him all cooperation. After the encounter with the elements of the former Youth National Peasant Party’s local leaders organization, the Georgescu Brothers, Dan, Vlad and Ghilutz, all of them engineers, Coposu CHANGED THE PARTY’S name. By this manipulation he put himself in the posture of A FOUNDER OF THE NEW NATIONAL CHRISTIAN and DEMOCRATIC PARTY of Romania, excluding ALL THE FIGHTERS WHO SUPPORTED the reorganization and the restoration of the HISTORIC NATIONAL PEASANT PARTY. Eni Han  understood that the only opportunity was lost and that in the future He should explore new avenues…

Today The Cuman Hanal Royal House of Romania, Moldova, Gagauz Yeri and all of the temporary occupied territories, is working hard to re-establish a new Moral Noble Force.

This Country of ours is in a terrible situation, because of a total lack of responsibility on the part of many political leaders toward the Romanian Population. The Cuman Royal House will continue to build up a moral force and is hoping to change the political mentalities with the help of the new unspoiled generation. The same situation is prevailing in MOLDOVA. And the same efforts will be made in this country…

The transition toward Democracy had already begun. The future of our House of Panciu is related to the liberty and political situation in Romania and Moldova. The Constitution should be reformed throughout a National Referendum in order to establish a new political form of the State. It should be a truly popular Parliamentary Republic in which the PRESIDENT will be the last Leader of The House of Panciu, approved by the Parliament, and WHO will give the sense of continuity, force, honesty, credibility, social justice, flexibility, respect for all minorities and the application of the policy of the greatest U.S.S. political leader Abraham LINCOLN! This is our goal. The Royal House of PANCIU is the ONLY TRULY NATIONAL AUTOCHTONOUS ROYAL HOUSE OF ROMANIA AND MOLDOVA deriving directly from The Hanat-Kingdom of Great Cumania who was recognised as such, in 1224, by The Pope, the leader of The Roman Saint Empire. Instead of asking all kinds of privileges Our House is working as a truly Romanian and Moldavian popular noble force. We should and shall not be in any way confounded with the TWICE VOLUNTARILY ABDICATED ex-King Michel’s opportunistic and negative activities, past and future. Romania, Moldova and our Peoples, including the National Minorities, will realize that their problems could only be resolved by the action of Our Own TRULY NATIONAL INTERNAL DEMOCRATIC FORCES.

HIS ROLE AS AN INDEPENDENT MORAL OPOSITION STATESMAN

HRH the Ilhan is encouraging a new style in conducting relations with Russia, S.U.A., Western European and the Turkish speaking Countries.

Because our Hanal Royal House was, during the reign of BARK KARA, the first East European Political Power which proclaimed the need to join the Western European Countries, because Bark Kara transformed radically the State, changed the language and the religion of the People of Great Cumania, the actual territories of Romania and Moldova. We should continue this effort till our Country is  a part of the NEW EUROPE of the different but united nations. The Republican Regime is compatible with this new vision and the eventually democratically conferred Political Power to our Royal Hanal House of Panciu. This is the goal to be obtained in order to create a NEW ROMANIA, liberated of the forces of corruption, bureaucracy, nepotism, fraud, treason, chauvinism, megalomania, social inequity, and a total lack of a truly free and SOCIALLY implicated economy.

Eni Han is insisting on Romania’s and Moldova’s European, throughout our history, vocation and is fighting continuously to join our People with the European Communities. To positively join The European Union is the most important goal to obtain. A New Europe, of all the Nations and Peoples, struggling together for a better future.

Eni Han believes that RUSSIA could be a friend of our People despite past experiences. Russia may find in our country the solution for its Caucasian problems…This great Nation shall not bear in mind small goals and should visualise her future by a strong and respectable cooperation with all Turkish speaking countries and primarily with its own neighbours.

The Romanian and Moldova’s economic realities can and should be resolved by a new policy and the real application of the DEMOCRATIC principles corresponding to our own interests and needs in full cooperation with the Western Europe, Russia, U.S.A., Turkish speaking Nations and all the economically   emerging Nations.

Eni Han’s pro-European profile and His work in the restoration of a true democracy in Romania and Moldova have been acknowledged throughout many national activities and His implication in the cultural events such as The Romanian Spirituality Congresses held in the city of Herculane and Alba Iulia or cultural events in Moldova.

Eni Han is a member of The Romanian Society of Writers and also a member of the Moldova’s and Gagauz Society of Writers.

He is a co-founder of the Canadian Association of Romanian speaking writers.

Up to now he produced 29 poetry works, five historic novels, some political economy books, history works and philosophical memories: 45 works in all. He is working to complete the novels serial and to realise new poetry works.

In Canada Eni Han was active in Federal and Provincial politics. He proposed and sustained the idea of a renewed Canada, where the Provinces shall be respected and the First Amerindian Nations appreciated and helped to be a new positive and self-governing Provincial political force. Thus Canada will become a glorious and strong Country. From 1982 till 1984 He assumed the Leadership of The National Canadian Party. This vision of things is on the move and we believe  Canada is proceeding in the right direction.

He is the National President of The Romanian and Moldavian Canadian Congresses, past President or member founder of many cultural Romanian Associations in Canada. He is the founder of The TELEROMANIA and of the Romanian Radio Hour (1984 and 1961).

In 1968, in order to dissociate Himself and His friends from the extremist tendencies, He initiated and founded The Romanian orthodox St.-John The Baptist in Montreal. This initiative had in mind also and primarily to establish links with the SYNOD of The Romanian Orthodox Church, to RENEW the activities of the FORMER National Peasant YOUTH Party members, to establish links with the non- satisfied communist members and to help change the political direction of the Country. He believed that any change could ONLY occur FROM THE INITIATIVE OF INTERNAL FORCES, including those of the National Security elements. This vision was the right one. The same ideas He promoted concerning an eventual political change in U.S.S.R. He wrote many articles 20 years before the Communist Party collapse. On 22 May 1980, during His last stay in Bucharest, where He headed the 11 members of the Reorganization – Commission of the Romanian National Peasant Party, He tried to be received by Ceauşescu and to persuade him for a REAL POLITICAL CHANGE. Ceauşescu Nicu, in his father’s name, explained to Dean Milhovan, a member of the Delegation, that this move was not possible because of his mother’s refusal and because of his father’s mistrust. Eni Han  decided, then, to never return in Romania before the Regime’s collapse   and actively worked for a political change. He also explained to a Director of The Foreign Affairs, an ex-third secretary at the Romanian Embassy in Ottawa, that Ceauşescu might loose the power in 1989 because of the political pressure, which will occur from and by Romanian internal forces. After this incident the Romanian Security and its Montreal servants partly succeeded to diminish Eni Han’s influence in His Own Parish, and in the circles of Romanian Community in Canada. In spite of this, Eni Han continued successfully His combat. We should recognise the positive  collaboration of all  Romanian Patriarchs and of Transilvania’s Metropolitan Antonie Plamadeală. In 1987 He wrote a MANIFEST sent to the former Russian President Gorbachev, asking Him to interpose his authority for Romania’s liberation. In 1999 He had an encounter with the Russian Ambassador Belonogov in Ottawa. He asked him to transmit to President Yeltsin the idea to finish with the Chechenia War, because it will be in the Russian Interest first. President Yeltsin had in mind the same action and a   formal accord was signed. Because of the extremists’ work on both sides, the war it’s all the rage.

The blazoning of the coat of H.R.H. Eugen Eni Han appears in the REGULAMENTUL CASEI CUMANE. It is unchanged since 892 first Ilhan Murad Kara I.
